Place your bird in a distraction-free
area before beginning the lesson. Reinforce the words at
other times in your own voice to help your bird to understand
and mimic the words or the whistles.
Not all “talking” birds will talk, but many
will, so be patient and do not expect overnight miracles.
Make sure your bird is not too young and is unable to talk
because he/she is not yet fully developed.
Focus with one CD at a time so you will not confuse the
bird with too many words at once.
Usually the birds will mimic the whistles easily, words
take a little more time. Parrots usually develop a larger
vocabulary than smaller birds such as budgies, cockatiels,
or parakeets. |
